The Teaching

Praise is the foundation of victory

When a vast army came against Judah, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go out before the army. ‘When they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes.’ Praise and thanksgiving are the foundation of a victorious life.

Station I — the Gate of praise

‘I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.’ Under the New Covenant, Jesus' blood secured our adoption — we now have access, as sons.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving

‘Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!’ He is enthroned on the praises of His people; praise creates the natural habitat for His Spirit.

Adoration — three expressions

A heart of awe expressed as praise (His greatness), thanksgiving (His goodness to you), and worship (bowing before His holy Presence).
